Βασίλης Μπαρμπούνης

Vasileios Barmpounis is Director of Third Oncology Clinic at the Metropolitan Hospital, since September 2013. He provides clinical care for patients with solid tumors, treatment, and follow-up; he is chair of the internal multidisciplinary team.
He studied in the University of Athens, Medical School (Degree in 1986, Grade: “Very Good”). Thesis: The prognostic value of copper, fibrinogen, sedimentation rate and A2 globulins in Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

He is President of Greek College of Senology; ex-General Secretary of Greek Society of Mastology; ex-Director of training courses in Mastology; Editor of FORUM OF CLINICAL ONCOLOGY (official magazine of Greek society of Clinical Oncology).
He has participated in Conferences with 400 Speeches/Lectures and in public awareness events about cancer prevention. He has been organizer of numerous oncological conferences and co-organizer in more than 70 scientific events.
